Toivo Kallio

I'm Toivo Kallio, a 30-year old sound enthusiast. Currently working as a Foley mixer/editor, I have a wide range of skills and experience on the field of sound design. One of my ambitions is above all: Enhancing and manifesting storytelling with sound. That is a constant goal that keeps me going forward. I graduated from Lahti Institute of Design and Fine Arts in 2010, specializing in film and television sound design. In addition to five years of professional history in television and film productions, I've touched the world of animation and games as well. Although I enjoy tinkering around with different microphones and gadgets, I always returns to the core questions: What is the story I'm trying to tell here? What is the feeling I'm trying to breathe into this sound effect? After being inspired by looking for the answers, learning new technology or overcoming practical challenges happens naturally.
