Undertone Sound Library releases Winter Forest

The Winter Forest is almost like the desert, most of the life has left or gone dormant. But stay long enough, and like the desert, you will hear life starts to punctuate the stillness. Pileated Woodpeckers hammering at trees. Crow calls. Wind. Branches creaking. And, yes, even bird songs.

These recordings were initially done for an Animated Feature film, but they are so interesting that we’ve decided to share them with the world. We braved 3 different frozen locations in the dead of winter. Many of the recordings have a great frozen stillness to them, but listen long enough and you’ll hear the subtle shifts of the winter world.
