Criterion is looking for an outstanding Audio Director, who will design and lead the audio theme and vision for the studio. The Audio Director is a critical role and forms part of the studio leadership team. Criterion is a studio that is driven by a passion for quality and excellence. The successful candidate will need to inspire and lead the team with a strong vision for the game’s audio direction. Working in collaboration with the studios creative leadership, you are responsible for designing and delivering an outstanding audio theme that keeps the gamer engaged and playing.


You will have a solid knowledge of how sounds works, with a proven track record of creating and directing cutting edge audio for AAA-titles. Your work history should show extensive experience in people management and project delivery, with the ability to build and lead a team, giving and receiving feedback and constructive criticism. You are also well used to delivering great quality against time and tech constraints. You work proactively to identify and manage resources and outsourcing requirements.

For this position Criterion is looking for a person with excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You should be a born leader with a passion for audio. Flexible in approach, you must be able to balance structure/process with the needs of a creative and dynamic environment. You have extensive experience of the full development cycle from concept development to final delivery. You are goal oriented and have experience of providing timely and honest feedback on performance against agreed goals. You enjoy working in a position where you manage dependencies to deliver against plan and goals.
