Cologne, December 26th Feb. 2015 – Tovusound announces EDWARD – Foleyart Instrument, the long awaited live playable Foley Artist Instrument for Native Instruments Kontakt with adjustable distance and high end recordings.
The EDWARD soundpatch gives access instantaneously to thousands of high quality footsteps including different walking speeds, behaviours and surfaces. EDWARD brings the timeless and high potential of Foley Artists that fits perfectly in today’s studio. EDWARDS flexibility originates from the unique arrangement of the microphones while recording. The user receives the possibility to put the footstep suitably to the picture or the situation perfectly. To get access to more capabilities EDWARD comes with several selected filters like 3Band, High Pass and Low Pass. An ADSR Envelope gives you the opportunity to manipulate the original sound. A section to add room responses is integrated on every patch.
The clean designed user interface of EDWARD gives instant access to all necessary parameters without searching. Every function can be assigned to any Midi Controller for better performance while playing. Additional Tablet Control Templates for Lemur and TouchOSC give full control with touch pads. EDWARDS algorithm is based on the Round Robin function in Native Instruments Kontakt to get never the same sound in a row. By receiving the midi note on a walking behaviour, EDWARD plays the suitable sample and by receiving the same note, EDWARD plays the next logical sample. An automatically left/right foot diversion gives even more harmony in walking behaviours and naturally sounding footsteps.
EDWARD ships with 29 soundset combinations of shoes and surfaces. Including high heals, business shoes, sneaker, slipper, barefoot and boots on gravel, timber floor, concrete, hardwood and carpet. EDWARD includes 23.200 different footstep samples and 1800 clothes movements to be the perfectly natural sounding Foley Artist in your digital environment.
